The coronavirus and the cancellation of many events, including Bratwurst Daze and the Brat Trot, has us all longing for community and togetherness.  Here at Brat Trot headquarters we have been working hard to accomplish that...online!  We are so excited for you to see what we’ve been working on over the past few weeks.  

A few things first - the success of the Brat Trot over the past 23 years is because we have exceptional local sponsors - our local family owned businesses, family farmers, committed Stacvyille alumni, and friends of our community who step up year-after-year to sponsor the Brat Trot.  Asking for sponsors this year feels like the wrong thing to do.  We can’t ask our businesses for money when they themselves are hurting.  So first, we ask you to support them and utilize their services, now and always.

Second, the cancellation of Brat Daze was a tough call, but the right call.  Thank you to our local leaders for keeping us all safe.  We are lucky to have leaders who volunteer their time and talent to ensure our wonderful community thrives for generations.  

Last, and most importantly, did you know that the money that is made from the sales of the brats and beers at Brat Daze goes to fund various community needs?  Without this money, so many organizations in our community will go without, and it will create a ripple effect.  This year, all money we raise through our virtual Brat Trot fundraiser will go to replace the money that is lost from this fund.  Local organizations can apply for this money, just like they do every year, through the Stacyville Community Club.  From the 4-H club to the First Responders, this fund is vital to many of our local organizations.  We know that it is going to be hard to replace the money lost from thousands of brats and beers - but here at Brat Trot HQ, we accept the challenge!

With that, we are proud to announce our online Brat Trot fundraiser.  Alongside our offering of the traditional, annual Brat Trot shirt, we have built upon the rich sense of heritage and tradition, and carried that over to a new line of Stacvyille merchandise.  As you shop online, enjoy looking at the vintage photos and the designs that we carried into our work.  

Both the Brat Trot shirts and new Stacvyille merchandise will be sold online only, for the month of July only, and all orders won’t ship until August.  At the end of July, the store will be taken down, so enjoy this one-time opportunity!  Be patient with us, as this is new for us too.
